A New Venture

I’ve been designing and selling on eBay for (gosh) nearly 4 years now. When I started, I admit I was strictly a pattern follower. I soon found out to stand out from the crowd, I’d have to become a true crochet designer. So, I ventured out into the unknown and found out I never wanted to look at another pattern. LOL Little did I know that I’d actually start writing patterns and have to proof-read and crochet from them to check them.

My favorite things to crochet are those that don’t tax the brain, aka simple. I like to make things that are simple but somehow have that “cuteness” factor.

So far, I have 12 patterns “published.” They are available on Etsy and eBay and also youcanmakethis.com.

Winter has arrived!

After having no snow all of January, winter is FINALLY here. I must say, I’m glad. I’m not sure why. I am sitting here freezing and wrapped up in THE afghan (yes yours truely made it), even though it must be warm in here, just at the thought of the 0 degree weather outside.

Yes, I did go out in it earlier today. My dh and I fought the crowd today at my beloved, favorite grocery store, Wal-mart. Yep, I admit, I do shop there. With us having 4 kids to feed, their prices just can’t be beat. Anyway, because of the storm and the Super Bowl parties  (Go Colts!–did you know I live in Indiana?) , it was wall to wall people. My goodness! Everyone was happy though. That was good.

The wind outside was blowing so hard that some of the telephone wires snapped. The snow was flying and it wasn’t coming from the sky! Yes, winter is here!
